David was killed by a DUI...hit and run in 1975. How sad for all of us.

David was a cool guy for all of us young hot blooded males because his father approved of him getting a subscription to Playboy magazine. Each of us looked forward to the new issue each month! His quiet demeanor never overshadowed his dry wit and sense of humor. Tragic was his death, as he was struck while walking along the side of the road early one morning (4 AM I believe) on Fairfield drive. He had many friends, in many circles. He was taken too soon, but he still left his mark on many of us who knew him well. He will be missed forever.

I met with Dave the night he was hit. We went out for a few beers and I dropped him off at his girlfriend's house. The cops called me the next morning, because he had my phone number on him, to let me know he had been killed by a hit and run driver. It was one of the saddest days of my life.

Dave was my first date when I was sixteen. I remember getting very dressed up and going to House of Chong and was quite shocked to see that others weren't really very dressed up. He took it all in stride. Dave really was a pretty cool guy. He taught me how to drive a stick shift on his Triumph and I remember being smitten by him. We're thinking of you Dave.
