Class of 1974

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. Hope you all have a great time. Please checkout the article below from The Pensacola News Journal.

The 32nd annual "Blankets for the Homeless" benefit takes place on Nov. 30 beginning at noon, running until late in the evenings. Visitors can see live performers, including Frankie and the Fishsticks and Pensacola's favorite singing priest, Father John Licari, pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Warrington.

There will be food for purchase, and also a raffle, with all proceeds benefiting Heavenly Blessings Ministries, which operates on North T Street. Organizer Cat Warfield said that volunteers will be accepting donations including blankets, socks, any other winter gear, as well as cash and gift cards that will all benefit the homeless.

Warfield, a longtime Flight Deck regular, began the event 32 years ago from her home, before bringing it to different bars across town, before permanently moving the "Blankets for the Homeless" event to the Flight Deck, 3709 W. Navy Blvd. about a dozen years ago.

Please come join us at this event for food, music, and fun. Starts at 12:00 non and goes til. You may remember Cat Warfield, Class of 1973, and sister of our classmate, Bud Warfield.

This event is CASH ONLY, did not want you to be surprised.

See you there.
