Thank you Sandy and Steve for letting us all know. Kathy was a sweet soul. Joe Russo was a good friend and a lot of fun to be around. Once we were diving off Destin with David Calahan, Joey, and I believe Ricky Henderson. Joe was my dive buddy and I ran out of air really deep. I made it to the surface OK but was pretty shook up. Joe talked to me about getting over it, saying something like "Dont feel bad. Things like this happen all the time. Are you going to let it stop you?" It was nice advice and something I thought about a lot over the years.
